Default Oil coming out of throttle body on...

'02 OX66. I've noticed oil on my motor housing and pulled the cover to see where oil has been coming out of the throttle body. Any ideas??

Gary,
Don't know if you found out what the cause of the oil leak was yet or not. If you end up needing to take it to a mechanic, let me reccommend Smitty's Marine in Swansboro. When I had my 215, I took it over to him a couple of times for advice. Most of the time, he would tell me what the problem was, and tell me in detail how to fix it myself. He never charged me a thing. All of my friends down in that area take their boats to him. He always gets it right the first time and his rates are rediculously low.

Does it only do it when the motor is tilted? Does it stop after a short period of time?
My Merc carbed motor always did it the excess fuel and oil in the carbs would drip after i used the boat then tilted the motor.
Also might want to check the internal oil tank mounted on the motor. One of my HPDIs oil tank would leak around the rubber seal on the top of the tank when tilted. A mechanic told me to put a wire tie around the rubber cap to tighten the seal and this solved the problem....Mark

Mark, It is only for a short amount of time and when tilted. I'm going to check it again tonight.
Thanks,
Gary
