Default walkaround cuddy vs. center console

well on another board there is a big discussion, aka argument, about which is better to fish from. i have a 26' cuddy wa and love it. i can still fight fish from the front if a chase is needed, it is easy to stay dry and protected with the hardtop and enclosures, lots of storage inside and plenty of room to fish from in the coskpit. i might give up a mph or two due to riding more amid/front than a cc but i can still take it through some nasty stuff. now i know contenders and top end boats like them can haul azz but overall what is your opinions of both?

I have had both and prefer the Center console. Has nothing to do with going faster. The WA turned into a storage compartment since there was a lack of other storage areas on the boat. Lack of Fishboxes also has a lot to do with the decision. I think if you are cruising and fishing or have kids a WA is a great choice, but if all you do is fish the CC is by far the better choice...Mark

Concur with Mark above...Fishboxes are definately a problem on a WA especially if it has an inboard. If it comes to fishing, CC's offer a better platform. A gull wing enclosure provides as much shelter as you need on a CC, while allowing you to fish comfortably while not running, even with 4 anglers on a medium (26-28) sized boat.

I wouldn't fish out of a cutty if I was serious fisherman.
The C/C is a serious fishing boat.
I think cuttys are made for the weekend fisherman that takes his family along with him,,,and there is nothing wrong with that.

I dont know of any pro tournament fisherman that use cuttys to get it done.........
