Holy crap! What a monster. The windshield and cabin/console top would take some getting used to but yikes what a beast. Any numbers?

My $.02 is that at 42' it's time to move on from outboard power...say what you will about speed and cost of maintenance and so on (my rebuttal to what you might say: speed...you can have all you want if you've got the coin for big diesels...look at Hines Farley, cost of maintenance...2 diesels vs 4 outboards should come out in the wash, etc)

So lets say any of those arguments are a draw...for the sake of looks and nothing else those outboards are cluttering up the transom something awful...not to mention fishability back there.

Pretty lines on that boat though, like all Yellowfins...

Saw the red on at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat show. Awesome! everything was done very well. The one next to it at the show had quad 300 v-rads. Sweet sweet boats.

I agree, 4 outboards is just too much clutter back there for me. I've seen 40+ ft offshore go-fast boats run pretty damned fast with twin diesels. Those big cigarettes ride well with the inboard power too. Why don't they do that more often in fishing boats?

I did see one at the NOLA boat show last year. I think it was the Spectre 37 with twin Yanmars. Looked like a pretty nice set-up to me.

Here is some text I posted on another side after my ride in the YF 42 Hull No. #1:

I had the opportunity to take a demo on the 42 YF today. The performance and ride of the boat is incredible. Not only was I impressed with the acceleration but also by the minimal bow rise during take-off. Once at speed visibility forward over the bow is not obstructed at all as the ride is dead on level. The turning ability at 40 mph is just as good or better then any boat I’ve been on. At full throttle in a bay chop of 2 feet (I saw 66 mph and change on the GPS) the boat is as easy to drive as at cruising speed.
