Default Looking for a pair of used Yamaha F250's

I'm making good progress on getting the Venture 34 ready to ship to Hawaii. It is currently set up with a pair of Yamaha F225s and I would like to repower it with 250's if I can find a set at a reasonable price. Dealers can't sell 'em new unless they install 'em, so since the boat is currently in Los Angeles, that could be a problem. I need 25 inch shafts. Once the boat gets to Maui, there is very little market for used engines, so if it is going to get re-powered that should happen soon. I've seen a few sets advertised, but the prices are around 30 grand.

I'll happily consider other brands as well...............

I'll give 'em a try, Welder. I was hoping to save a few bucks by tracking down used ones. Those things are spendy!

I don't need anyone to rig 'em - I can do that without a problem

Yea, I had to rag you a little... but it looks like my boat only raises half a fish.

That's a nice shot. I am guessing Hammerhead or was it a Mako??

That was a hammerhead, I believe, after looking back and reliving that day.

You were fighting hard, then said "SH+T" and threw the rod down, then reeled in half a fish.

To wit, several people have chastised me about throwing that half a Albie overboard after the pic.

They said cut the flesh strips off and troll them around like Clark spoons.

Next time we're more edumacated.

I think I'm the one who first started calling them Yamaha 208's, so I'm not about to be offended. I like the idea of a pair of Suzuki 300's. New rigging required, but it is all price dependent
