I'd make sure you have a legit salvage and the owner had no intention of trying to recover. Thats probably a non issue but the last thing you want to do is rig it then the orig. owner tries to claim it. Maybe you've already got that covered, just saying.

Pretty well covered, but still working on it. Not 100%, but about 99% sure the owner is in jail.

"In jail" doesn't make a difference. Someone (either my broker or my surveyor, I can't remember which) told me about taking a check for a boat to a client who was in the county jail. It was a big check and made the guy the richest jailbird in the jail.
