Default Boating community loses a "Good one"

The boating community lost a good one Tuesday. A guy named "Crazy Charlie". He started out with almost nothin and a lil aluminum boat on the Blood/Tickfaw rivers. Opened a lil marina that GREW.

He was well known in the "Go Fast boat" community. Hardly known in the fishin folks area unless you were from this area. BUT, he tried to mentor/teach ANYONE on boating safety.

Here is a link to a news story from our local TV station on his death. Watch the clip associated with it and you may recognize him from the reality tv show that was a few years ago names Gilligans Island.

"Crazy Charlie" link

Oh yea, here is a link to something he started several years ago that grew from a "Little local event" to something that folks from around the WORLD came to each year to participate.

"The Tickfaw 200"

That's a shame. The world needs more characters, not less. He sound's like he was unique.
