Merc 200 hp Salt water - Boating & Fishing Information and Reports Forum

I am thinking about purchasing a used boat with a 2005 200 hp Mercury EFI Saltwater series motor. Does anyone have experience with this motor or a Merc Saltwater series motor? I've been unable to find much info good or bad on this unit. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

I have twin 2002 225 EFI Saltwater series Merc's. Turned 511 hours this past weekend. Never a single issue other then the oil reservors which I replaced at around 300 hours. Perfect motors.

I had a 01 Pro Line with 200 saltwater for 3.5 years before I sold it. Never had one issue, it had over 500 hours when I sold it and it is still running strong (sold it to a friend of mine) he now has a little over 900 hours.
