Glad to hear that it's going well...

I'm glad Darrell shared the story, I've been abreast and did not want to spill the beans, but let me tell you, I was hot when I heard of it. All's well that end's well it seems. I'll tell you one thing, you mess with someone's boat in NC, and you're very likely to get layed down with a 12 gauge while in the act. Maybe Darrell should just leave it here. I'll keep good hold of the keys for you, and get those 2007's broken in just right by the time you get back from the next deployment!

I'm still hot about Jfish's story, and how it played out. That's a whole 'nother thread, and the one that got me kicked off a different message board.

Yikes~! Sorry to hear about Fruition BUT glad that you got her back undamaged and that Progressive is taking care of their end in getting everything back to "normal". Speaks well of them as an insurance company - can't say that too often.

Sounds like job opportunity to me in the SECURE boat storage business.....?

And see!? Things ALWAYS work out for the best.

Glad to see that the Fruition is getting back together. Those 07 250's will be fine. Darrell several of us will be around if needed before you arrive.
Chris is right, Jfish's story does need to be told on another thread. I have talked to Fairweather about it
Regards,

Glad you got your boat back and at least you will get new motors with no hours. I also know what it feels like to have prize possessions stolen. I had a street race car get stolen from a shop. Lets just say if I could have found out who did it, I had some guys that were going to take care them for me. At least progressive covered you. They seem to be pretty decent. I got a buddy that was hit by another boat and did $9100 worth of damage and progressive is the insurance the other boater had. The claim was processed and the boat was fixed in 3 weeks.

In the second picture it looks like they unplugged the electronics and left the cables. That's interesting because it says the crooks did not know you need the wiring to make things work. It also looks like a Furuno unit was left in place. The engine rigging also looks disconnected and not cut. They must have had a fair amount of time. Towing a stripped boat is something that will alert any officer, so I'll bet the recovery point was not far from the strip point. But, it is a lot more convincing if you say it is being re-rigged and the cables are not cut.....

Sorry to hear about the misfortune. Glad to hear that Progressive (my insurer also) is treating you fairly. Hope you find a better place to keep it at.

Hey Guys,

Dave - I have PM JFish to see if he would like to share his story with us, I did not read any of those threads on other forums but figure maybe we can all learn something from JFish's situation?

But what do I know...

Unhappy

Three out of four is numbers I could live with, just to bad the cops haven't caught the crooks.

Darrell, not saying this is going to help with thieves in the future, but a few years ago I setup storage at a trucking companies yard a few miles away from the water. IMO the yard was far more secure then our local marina's locked compounds........just something for you to think about.

Best to you

I am sorry for all that, that is terrible. Where in St. Augustine did they find the boat? I'm a cop in Jax and live in St. Augustine and there is a big 30 + Edgewater gone now. If you know where they found it let me know, please. Thanks. Maybe I can catch these A$$hole$.
