Over the weekend my neighbor had a mishap with his boat and had some damage done to his gelcoat. The boat is a 30 foot cigarette style boat with a complex paint pattern with some airbrush that is on top of the gelcoat. I know of a shop locally that could probably fix the gelcoat damage but can't do the paint work. Does anybody know of a shop that is in Eastern NC that can do both the gelcoat repair and the paint scheme back to original? Another boater suggested a BAJA dealer in Richmond, VA but that is further than he would like to take it. Any help would be appreciated as he needs to get this fixed ASAP so he can use the boat.
Yea, there is a guy that used to work at Fountain that is doing work for himself now. I have seen his work and it is not up to the quality that this needs to be.
Maybe you will have to divide the job into two halves.......call some of the Harley Davidson bike shops for a list of airbrush guys. I'd be surprised if your buddy couldn't round up at least one master through those channels.
Call greenville marine and ask them if they know of anyone I would bet they did. If not there is a performace boat dealer in the charlotte area that I am sure would know someone but they might not be close to you.
