i have a 2005 yamaha f150....still under warranty...do you guys reccomend getting the extended and if so where id the best place to get it......straight from manufactor or go to a authorized dealer?

I have always bought the Y.E.S. Warranty straight from Yamaha. It is 100% transferrable.

I sold my Edgewater a few months ago, and the buyer said about 3 weeks after he got it he had an issue with the starter. Took it to his local Yamaha Dealer and they fixed it 100% for free!

I got the extended YES on my engine. I purchased mine at a local Yamaha dealer. But, like Matt said you could go through Yamaha also.
