The trim tabs are going to interesting. In talking to Ken of PropGods, he's seen several different boats with suction problem such as the Venture has. The folks at Venture retrofitted most boats, including mine, with vents in the tab pockets. That venting was done two ways, either into the fish box on the first boats done or on later boats, the vents were in the aft hull sides. The external vents work the best.
I'm sending a shipment of things for the boat, including the hose and fittings to move the vents to the outside. But first, I'm going to try the boat as is - with the Yamaha 3 blades. Then I'll try the Inertias I bought from Ken. Next, I'll bolt the huge tabs on and see what happens. If the problem is turbulence, it may get better or worse with the larger tabs. Last of all, I'll disconnect the vent hoses from the fish well and let them vent to free air. That will tell me if I need to drill and install fitting s in the hull sides.
