Default Throttle cable lube

Anyone lubricate thier throttle cable? Mine is stuck. I don't know if I need to lube or toss and buy a new one.

THX, Gary

I tried lubing mine but ended up getting Teleflex Extreme cables that made a night and day difference!

Once they get screwed, they are screwed. No real fix even if you were able to remove the inside cable and grease. Why?Once a set of cables have been in place, the rub in the angles and wear in.Putting them back together would change that and were they will rub and then POP!Now that you have one going, best bet is to change out both. You can buy them off ebay at a very good price. Before doing that, you need to pull the old ones out to see how long they are.

I had mine lubed in March, the place that does my work blew CRC up the lines, worked well.....for about two weeks, then stiffened back up. Easier to replace.

Good news... I went to take the old cable off to get a measurement and found a little bit of scale where the cable goes into the jacket. Cleaned it up and it works great. Thanks for the replies!
