Default Yellowfin 32 Photos

Here are some photos of the Yellowfin 32 from my visit to YF today. The boat will be formally introduced at the Miami Boat Show next week.

The boat is a classic YF with some additional features that will make it very appealing to even a greater number of buyers.

YF will be bring this boat along with a 17, 24, 36 and 42 to Miami.

The hull looks like it is designed with Verados in mind. The pivot point on the Verado puts the powerhead aft and does not require a motor well. The hull has a suggestion of a motor well, but if you look closely, the surface right in front of the engines is flat, rather than being recessed. The flat area is much better structurally than a recess. Did you get a shot of the transom door?

Is the console a little further forward than normal? It seems to have a bit more room behind the leaning post than a lot of center consoles. Maybe just because it's so damn big! Nice looking boat though.

Exactly why it was developed that way... additional strength.

Yes, they moved the console forward somewhat which in turn increases the room behind the leaning post. I measured about 5 feet from the leaning post to the transom livewell. The center of gravity should still be right given the placement of the fuel cell and weight of big 4-strokes, either Merc. 300/350's or Yamaha 350's.

Serious fishing machine. Love the JL Audio speakers. I counted at least 4 from these pix.

Nice, but I don't care for the tee top or any of the metal being painted or coated.Last summer there was a 36' with trips that got cought out in ruff seas with me.They were just as wet as I.Guess even 6' more of boat doesn't help that much.

Well that is the beauty of ordering from factory like YF, I'm sure you could cater to your liking.

Good point Ken..

I think in the future a lot of manufacturers of bigger, deep v's will start inching forward the console, in order to give more "pit" space, especially as heavier engines allow the balance to be offset.

Also, Jeff, how do the bond the console to the deck, or is it molded as one piece? Seems like the only support for the t-top is the console. Next time snap a shot of the inside console if you will. Thanks!

Chris, It is not one piece as they have a couple different center console designs available including a ket west style (pictured) and a side entry console. I know the console is bolted to the deck and if I can find a photo from another YF I'll post it.

Here are some finished photos as they ran the boat for the first time yesterday.
