Glen, the shoot thru, were is it mounted at?Your boat is close to one of mine that I need to install a new ducer and I would need to find a "clean water' area.I would like to install a 1K thru hull.I do have a flat spot on center"running pad"that is about 8" wide at the transom and runs about 4' towards the bow.Its something like what a bass boat has as a lifting pad.Mounting it there,I just don't know if that will mess with the motors.

Not really I ran my 150 Opti on Premium Plus for 2 years (over 250 hours) with no issues just a bit more smoke. Yes DFI oil is superior but not by much IMO.

maybe it's the specific opti - I had bad luck in two sets of opti 225 with prem plus, Plugs fouled, lotsa black gunk in the prop and stalling when moving from fwd to reverse around the docks....maybe it's diff in the 150's due to a diff calibration...

Well,I used that quicksilver DFI oil.The props were alot cleaner and the motors ran even better!Guess I will have to pull some plugs to see what they look like.

They seem to run better with the opti oil, and I notice less sludge in the prop hub so I'd stick with it over the premium plus
