Alright, the Capt. part comes from fishing commercially out of Martha's Vineyard. All the comm guys call each other Cap on the radio and it just stuck. The Fred part comes from a bit more complex tale of drugs, way too many partys, school zones, and memory loss due to the aforementioned drugs and partys! But that was a long time agao and there's no need to get into all the details.

Boat name is Strider. Thats from a commercial boat on the island called Quitsa Strider that I really admired and it's also a reference to the character in the Lord of The Rings.

Welcome to the board Oceans Brew! I am a former resident of Chesapeake and was born and raised in Portsmouth. Good to see a few HR residents here.

User name is the beginning of my email address (just easy for me to remember). The boats name will be Water Therapy when I get it out of the water and get the old name off of it (ORCA). My wife picked the name partly from the enjoyment we get on the water and her business name is Waterside Therapy so it goes with that. Whatever it takes to keep her happy lets me do what I want so she named the boat.

My family is in the fuel/oil business so naturally, we wanted a name that had to do with our trade.

My girlfriend came up with the name...

I've been wintering in HHI SC for the last 4/5 yrs during the winter months. A resident of Michigan and my passion is chasing Trophy Browns with streamers and mousin' late at night with a fly rod in some of the best streams in the entire Mid-West. If not already, I must admit that I have a feeling that I've become addicted to the salt.

My nick, Strip'n'Set, came about because I lost too many Browns, Steelhead, from a lousy hook set. In the dead of night in a drift with a guide/friend, I would talk to myself out loud....strip, strip strip....and on a take not seeing but hearing the fish I would either yell out loud Set...or Damn Grrr

No pictures/avatar etc. as yet and the only thing at this point that I can contribute to ask a lot of general questions and before the winter is over with, a trophy pic with me and a Striper,Albie, etc.. Get acquainted with and to fish with a good guide, and hopefully decide on what kind of boat I would like to end of with.

The last off shore boat I owned(a pleasure craft)was named Knota problem.
