I thought I would post some of the many pics from a few of our trips this year. They are all offshore pics. I just cant get myself to pull up short and do any inshore fishing!!! It seems like when we hit the inlet we are gone. We have been lucky this year and all of our trips have yeilded some great fish. I really enjoy taking freinds out to experience offshore fishing.
Here is the year so far in Pictures Hope you enjoy!!! Many firsts this year for anglers on these trips. By the way the season isnt over yet.........Mark
This pic is from the first trip of the year Two good freinds of mine that have never fished for YFTs. We fished out of Southport and caught a late day bite on the YFTs. These YFTs were their first.
The next two pics are of part of the Southport crew they are HBLAC and his son. The Dolphin were stacked this day and we were the only boat in the area. The Dolphin were biting so good we actualy left them after we boated 15 or so nice ones to find a few Wahoo which we did. This was Adam's first Wahoo.
The next photos are from the spring OBX trip of GoldenDog showing that great form in the fighting gear and then again with a nice YFT. The third is of yours truly with the seventh YFT of the day.The next pic is Matt H. a good freind that joined us on this trip for some killer YFT action..
This Series of photos we are back at Southport again. Pat a freind of mine who is a Cival Engineer joined me for his first trip to the stream. He was leaving for Afganistan for 13 months so this was a going away fishing trip. The Wahoo and Kings were mixed together 50 miles offshore and made for a screaming day. We ended the day with four wahoo and released 15 kings over 20lbs....Great day. These were Pats first Wahoo's ever.
Back to Southport for this fantastic trip for Wahoo!! Shawn and big Dave are both Military and joined me on this trip. I was itching to go and couldnt find anyone and Shawn answered one of my post for anglers needed. Glad we went Big Dave and Shawn had a blast and we ended the day with a limit of 6 nice Wahoos two of which were between 60#-70#.. Couldnt ask to fish with two nicer guys which I had never met before. Killer day on the water......
Great pics Mark.......looks like a great time had by all......even the golden dog!
Ya Josh is the center rigger man!! He is always standing in the right place when that reel starts to scream.. Everyone I take loves to fish so thats a big plus...I have some great freinds tocrew my boat.........Mark
Where did the year go? Sure hope there will be fewer windy weekends in 08 and fewer intrusions from work into my fishing schedule. Its a terrible thing when something insignificant like work gets in the way having fun.
