Default Kids hunting...mountain trout...and turkey

My kids are heavy into the hunting side of the outdoors too. My oldest daughter is going to be able to outshoot me soon....and my personal favorite is turkey hunting anywhere.

Welder she's shooting a Remington model 7 .243 (perfect size gun for a child) I load her 95 grain ballistic tips at about 2800fps... good range and manageable recoil......she is real good with that gun to about 150 yds with a decent rest. I usually set her up to be able to shoot off a bipod or a small sand bag to make things a little easier.

The little guy was shooting a 30-06...loaded hot!!!

That is really great that your kids are into the outdoors.
If your little guy needs to tote a handgun he can borrow my .454 casul.

Keep up the good work Greg.

He tried mine and called me a girl for having it ported...next he's gonna try the .50 Smith & Wesson. All kidding aside...I got a Super Redhawk and put a 4x on it a couple of years ago to use for deer and hogs. I have really enjoyed that gun deer hunting. Only problem is it weighs about what my rifles weigh....but it is a fun twist on tree stand hunting. I am much better with a rifle than a pistol but I have been real suprised by the effective range of the .454. This shot below has been more his speed so far....his bb gun and this hand me down .22 from one of his sisters....it was originally pink and if you notice I had to paint the stock to satisfy his manhood.
