Default New River drum and trout after the rain

After the rain quit we hit the water at one of our favorite spots at 5:00. The topwater was on fire and it was dead calm. 8 drum and some trout that we caught on popping corks with artificial shrimp. The biggest drum was 24" that we kept to eat...caught on a Zara Spook Jr.

Little man was bummed he struck out on the drum but he did catch 2 trout...with his signature drum shades on.

Big sister with her best drum ever...nice one with a blue tail.

The ride home to a beautiful sunset.

Outstanding Greg!

Were they wearing hearing protection? Just kidding!

You're providing some wonderful memories for your children - they will never forget the fish they caught today, nor the time spent with you.

I will consider it...please send a picture of boat and any guns you will bring to the adoption.

Greg,

I love it!

I bet the fish didn't hear a thing until it was too late.

Seriously, I'm only kidding with you.

I mean it when I say, "your doing a great job with your kids".

Thanks....you should see them working around the farm here...it's all fun to them right now. We have done some frog shooting...I mean "gigging" in the past!

The boat is good enough for full adoption....it is gonna outlast both of us anyway.
