We got a decent start to the new year.
Went out with John (Class Act), Don (Colmarine) and Rich.
Bait marked well but we had to work at it longer than expected. Small spanish ate as many as we got in the well but we managed a couple dozen.
Ran deep as planned in search of Grouper. Water was dirty to 170'. There was a little rip between 170-200. Trolled for an hour or so working our way deep. No takers at all but we saw a few sails throughout the day.
Current and drift were a challenge to say the least (great job John).
No hero's but all decent.
3 Snowy's (+1 small released w/o harm)
2 Scamp
2 ARS
Notice the message in a bottle floating behind the boat in this pic. The bottle was sealed and had a note. John took it but I forgot to ask if he opened it.
This Snowy has 2 liveys in his mouth. First he got Rich's Pilchard and then my Grunt on the same drop.
