.... and Again, Another Perfect Florida Day On The Water
Matt & I had the opportunity to fish with Forum member Anthem and his two young sons today. We’ve been planning on this trip for a while and finally had just the right day to get the boys on the water. As they have not done much fishing we wanted to keep the action coming. After leaving the canal our first stop was just east of the ICW, less then 5 minutes from our house. The boys each had the chance to reel in about a half dozens Ladyfish before we headed south.
As the winds were calm the plan was to head into the Gulf and doing a little Grouper fishing for some of the small Red Grouper just offshore….. the Grouper certainly cooperated as the boys caught well over a dozen each.
We then ran northward in the attempt to find something a little larger. Water conditions were perfect so the boys took there turn at the wheel of the Action Craft.
Although we never ran into the Bonita we did find a large school of Bluefish and landed a couple dozen before heading back.
It was another terrific day December Florida day with a good friend and some outstanding junior anglers.
Special thanks to Matt for handing off the rod on many occasions.
