I thought snapper season is closed in GOM. This must be on the east coast

Jeff,

We fish out of Ponce Inlet typically (just south of Daytona, east coast). We have some friends in common including Capt. Hector Mesa.

Great!

Capt. Mesa is a great guy and a blast to fish with. My son and I are fishing with him at some point this month or next so he can get his first sail.

Those fish were caught about 25 miles east of Ponce Inlet in 90-100'.

Good news is the SAFMC has tabled the Snapper closure for the time being (just reported after the Dec. 5 meeting).
