This was caught on one of our recent offshore bottom fishing trips in 230 ft. This should be easy for the Gulf fisherman

Blue Magic

I am no expert on fish ID, but I do not think that is a Snowy Grouper. Snowies have round white dots on them and when they get large they sometimes lose those spots.
