Not much fishin lately out of Hatteras, extreme lack of tourists due to the current road and ferry situation.
We do have a charter Saturday and I am really looking forward to getting back on the water.
Meanwhile, we have been very productive in the boat shop, the nimrod is comming along nicely and a couple of other projects are moving forward.
Big Dan brought his dingy in for a paint job. Bubbie just painted the Gena (my dad's 36' ketch named for my mom) pearl grey, so we are gonna paint the dingy to match.
Sprayed high build on her the other day.
The beer boat also got a coat of high build at the same time.
on the nimrod, the jet lower unit came, so we will be assembling it and prepin it for paint.
Also got the floor glassed in and the console planted, ready for the big grind and smear.
I made the aft end of the floor with a 1/2" lower gutter which will hopefully shed all of the water of the deck quicker.
Don't forget fall fishin is upon us, and we are booking a few trips, the road should be done by early October, you can still get here by ferry.
