Default July 9th Report

The last couple of days we have been participating in the Hatteras Grand Slam billfish tournament.

Hatteras Grand Slam Billfish TournamentJuly 7th, 8th, 9th, 2011 - Hatteras Grand Slam

On Friday it was very rough and thunderstormy, we decided that it was not good to fish in the lightning and turned back around about 8 miles out.

On Saturday was a little better in the morning, no lightning, and got prettier all day.

We had some decent fishin but did not end up in the money.

We had one sailfish bite and got a half a jump out of him before he came off. We did catch the second heaviest wahoo in the tournament, but that was not worth any money. A few blackfins and dolphins, but that was not what we were looking for.

It was great to have Rebecca, Gary, and Christinia on the boat the last couple of days, and thanks for hangin in there.

Thomas and Mark were our support system on shore for the tournament, thanks to them as well.

We will get em next year.
