Default March 20th Report

Great day on the water for our Jiggin Boys from up the road.

Good to have these fellas back for some bluefin jiggin action.

No trollin today only going vertical!

Took us a little bit to find em, broke the ice with a couple of 60 pounders.

Then it was a steady bite on bigger fish.

They decided to keep the third fish a 69" 153#.

Best action fo the day was hooking 5 fish at once on the jigs, and managed to land 3 of them.

After that we hooked a single fish that turned into a 3.5 hour epic battle and took the rest of the day to land. They got the leader on him and held him at boatside. He looked to be about 250#. Not bad for a jggin rod with 80# test!

Our total for the day was 7 landed fish out of 10 bluefins hooked and probably had another 10 bites.

In addition to our epic bluefin action they boys trolling had a good bit of yellowfin action down the beach from us. Good to see them show up!

Hooked up on 5, hard to get everyone in the picture!

Bluefin!
