I have a use for a Penn #49 Mariner Reel. This is the narrow spool version. Some of you may be cleaning out or updating and if you come across one , Please contact me.

What's your use Dave? I redid two number 9's a couple of years ago from the mid-50's and they work great for fighting spade's.

I have 2 #49's. One needs the new a drag and the other one is in good to excellent condition. I will not be back in till this evening. I will try to take pictures and post them with a price.

I recently came across one of the #49 Mariner reels and was thinking if I could find another that matched, I might replace a pair 3/0 as teasor reels.
Thanks

Dave,

There is a bunch of Ebay. I'm not sure if you use Ebay but take a look if there is one you like and you don't use ebay, let me know and I can bid on it for you.

Why would 49's work better than 3/0's for your teaser reels?

My thinking is the #49 reels are larger with a quicker retrieve and heavier drags as I plan to spool with 200# mono. If they don't work, they will make good wire line reels.
Regards,
dave
PS: sorry about Va Tech??

Didn't really see us having a chance today, though I also didn't see us losing by that much either.
