Dominican Republic & St. Thomas

From 15 Apr to 24 June, we will have the "Loaner" on station in Punta Cana with Capt. Ross "Flash" Clark at the helm. Flash has moved from a boat in the Bahamas to take command of one of the larger boats to operate in the DR. The "Loaner" is a 1990 - 60ft Bertram with twin Detroit 16V92's which have been recently overhauled and is fully airconditioned. Charter rates - $2000/day.

From 29 June thru August, the "Loaner" will be in St. Thomas, operating from Red Hook Marina. Same charter rates.

Also arriving Punta Cana, 15 April, will be "MR BII" - 57 Dean Johnson with Capt. Rick Ogle on the bridge. Charter rates $1900/day. "MR BII" has been chartering the last couple of years in Panama, Venezuela and most recently San Juan & Humacao, Puerto Rico.

Capt. Rick Ogle aboard the Mr. B II arrived in last Friday morning with boat's owner. First weekend of fishing - Saturday & Sunday: "Went out at 10am, caught some bait, started laying lines, by noon each day had 20 whites raised, 15 bites and 10 released. All in all a good beginning". Fishing area starts right out in front not more than four miles out. Capt. Ogle says only he and one other boat are in the Punta Cana Marina. Charter rates are $1900/day.
