This is a copy of the email that was sent to me from my local BW dealer when I was looking to purchase a Pate Tank

Jim, Do you guys carry, sell the 24 Gallon Pate fiberglass fuel tank? And if so how much is it?

WE DID SELL THE PATE FIBERGLASS TANKS BUT NOT ANYMORE DUE TO THE
ISSUES WE HAD WITH THE ETHANOL FUELS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING
THAT TANK DUE TO THE PROBLEMS THAT IT CAUSES WITH THE ETHANOL EATING
THE FIBERGLASS EVEN WITH THE NEWER TANKS THAT THEY MAKE I HAVE HAD
PROBLEMS & IT CAN BE VERY COSTLY $1000 PLUS TO REPAIR SO I WOULD
BEWARE OF USING IT. (AND PATE WON’T HELP IN THE REPAIRS) ANY QUESTIONS
PLEASE CALL.

THANKS,

CLEWS AND STRAWBRIDGE

Thanks Tom
I was told by Pate the new tanks after 05 are completely ethanol proof? Maybe I'll just get a Moeller 26 gallon tank

BETTER CHOICE, PATE IS COMPLETELY WRONG ABOUT THAT, I HAVE INSTALLED
(6) NEW ONES BUILT IN 2006/2007 & THEY HAVE FAILED & THEY KNOW IT.
GOOD LUCK.

Tom
Dang that sux I really liked those tanks and they looked good too...Mark
