Ok I just read this thread for the first time and because I'm thinking I'm one of the original members (probably top 50 in October) and am in the record book for most users on-line at once, I thought it's time to introduce myself. I am Rick H. from Pgh., Pa. Yes, landlocked Pgh.! Introduced to saltwater fishing Island Beach, NJ from the surf and jetty when I was railroaded (transferred) there by my former employee for two years in 1984. Pretty much haven't looked back since. Used to be a devout freshwater trout and bass fisherman until I hooked that first striper off the jetty. Started with a 14' starcraft, then a 20 ft. CC, and now own a 24 ft. WAC. Everyone of those boats my wife Cindy agreed is the last boat I'll ever buy. Have 2 kids in college, son at Kent St. and daughter at local CC. I try to get to salt at least 3 times a year for a week each. This year I'm shooting for 4. Am in the construction matls. business hence the name SENERGY (the brand name of my primary line). People think we're stupid yankees everywhere we go cause we tow ungodly distances. 28 hours straight to the Keys, 12 hours to Hatteras or Lookout, 12 hours to Cape Cod. It's taken a few years but with the help of people like the ones on this forum (Capt. Fred comes to mind) we pretty much figured the fishing out and have the times of our lives. Oh yea, I just have to mention every time we go "there is always an incident"! I plan on writing a book someday sorta like Hemingway on SNL. Don't post a whole lot because most people know more than I do about boats and fishing but the length of this one should get me to GREENHORN??!!
