Gotsha Glen. Like I said in my post I do not want anyone to get there undies in a bunch as I know everyone has their fav motors it was just an opinion. I read the thread on THT about the Yam problems and that is a serious problem that needs to be addressed asap just like the 300hpdi problems. I have seen many of those apart. I was just stating that over the years how I see it. Merc was a race motor and Yamaha was a work motor. Heck, every motor has its problems, etec lower units, yamaha elect. and 300 probs, and I have seen a couple verado probs as well. I have been very impressed with the Verados thus far, its a hell of a motor and in my opinion state of the art. I would run one in a heart beat. So, don't get bent out of shape I like them all.
