Building a Plate Alloy Boat
Morning all,
These are a few construction pics of my new boat. It was due to be finished Dec 6 but stuff happens. 23FT LOA with a 175 Suzi. 23 deg deadrise, reverse chines & ballast tubes which drain whilst moving & fill with water at rest to counteract deep-V roll. 300 litres of fuel, 5mm hull, 6mm transom, 4mm topsides.Should run at around 40 knots. There will be more pics down the track.
The third pic is not my boat. The deck was on before I could get to it & so the pic is of a similar boat without ballast tubes. The pic of my daughter in front of a finished boat is only to give an indication of what they look like. My boat will be unpainted.
