Hey, bring on the project pictures! But I don't understand - that transom was just fine. A little penetrating epoxy could have dried it right out and made it like new...... Right!
Sometimes the saw is the only way to fix it.
Of all the terminal problems in boats, wet transoms and delaminated stringers continue to be the biggies. Blisters get a lot of attention, but so many owners just don't pay enough attention to proper bedding or sealing. Once the wood gets soaked, the saw is about the only fix.
