I had to look it up myself Alan, I've always called them dirt doggers. Suzuki recommends rinsing the motor out on the muffs and with the flushing port if you have no access to a muff(wetslip). I always rinse them out(salt or fresh) when I get the boat back home. Motor ran absolutely fine on the muffs , even with all that grass in there. In the water, I guess the extra exhaust that couldn't get out the usual way , was bubbling out of the prop. One thing I'm wondering , is did the dirt dauber nest possibly make that motor somehow pickup the grass and go thru the motor? I don't have a clue. It was a first time for me with both the nest and the grass issue in the 18 years I've run an outboard.....Dave
