The OBX fest is a 2 times a year event made up of mostly boaters/fishermen from this board who get together here in OBX. Broad Creek Marina in Wanchese is the focal point. Entry fee is donated to charity, and there is a kick-off social cook-out. There will be a "tuna pool" for largest tuna. There will be 12-15 boats with 3-4 man crews that are trailerable and come from NC, SC, and VA, including "Blue Magic" who will tow his 30 Grady from Venice , La and "Trapit" who will bring the big Donzi from So. Ga... Needless to say, there are some very good fishermen in this group. I have met some great people here and consider them to be friends. Come join us...

May try to make it if I can pick up a trip. Might be tougher this year than in year past as we have our first child on the way in the next week or two. Hopefully I can catch up with y'all at some point. Later, Matt

With your performance last year Fernando, that would be awesome. Heck it would be regardless if you caught anything or not. Enjoyed meeting y'all last year. Too bad what went on with your cooler, etc getting stolen though. That still chaps my a$$ when numbnutz do stupid stuff like that. Glad it is not keeping you from coming again.

Oh, and

We'll see how this baby rearing goes ok and I'll be free'ed up to attend. Should know any day now. We are about a week past our due date.

Just curious guys....what time are we planning on leaving for fishing Fri and Sat mornings? Sadly that is all the time I can get off work to fish, at least this year.
