Thumbs up Awsome week out of Wanchese!!!

Just got back in from the trip to the outer banks and all I can say is it was a great week. We fished hard 4 out of the six days. I have some great photos and about 4 hours of video to go through and will post them when I regroup.
It was a quality trip. The Tuna were a little more cooperative in the beginning of the week and a little tougher towards the end of the week. There were lots of nice dolphin around all week.
We also ended up catching a nice Blue Marlin with Multiple bill bites through out the week. We also Caught a nice Sail this week as well as a small Mako which was released.
As I said we have some great photos and videos that I will post as soon as I can !!!! Nice to see everyone again!! Mark zzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

This week was was by far the best fishing I've seen out of OI (with exception to the tuna bite being a little slow late in the week)!!! Unbelievable variety and quality of fish over our 4 days. The video and pics we collected between a few different cameras and camcorders should be fantastic!

I know Mark is plugging away at getting it all ready to post. I want to thank Mark, Mike, and Matt for some great days out on the water. Certainly some memories for life out of this week. A big thanks as well to Chris, Matt and Dave for all the leg work behind the scenes to get it all coordinated.

Well done!

Josh

It sure was a great week at the Outerbanks!! I have quite a few photos and about four hours of video. We have some great stories from last week. I thought I would start by sharing some Pictures of the Blue Marlin we caught this past week. We really thought we had a Bigeye on for the first 30 minutes of the fight but then he exploded with a series of jumps grey hounding off the port side of the boat. After we saw him jump the fight took on a little more of a serious but fun battle. This is the first Blue marlin I have caught and was thrilled to catch it on my own boat. It was also nice to catch and release him with two friends that I have fished with over the years. Enjoy the pics. The next series will be of a sail we caught the next day!!!…….Mark

About half way trough the fight when we realized we had a blue on.

Fighting him on stand up was great and Josh was in the pit keeping an eye on things while Mike was at the helm.

This was the first leader touch after about 50minutes. The only problem he had other plans and it was off to the races for about the third blistering run!!

He stayed deep for all but one jumping sequence.

Starting to put the pressure on when he was deep.

Finally after an hour and about 20 minutes we were able to bring him along side and Josh did a great job of billing.

We revived her and sent her on her way.

Once again thanks to Josh and Mike for doing such a great job!!

Good Job by all the Boats fishing The weather was just about perfect. Just enough fog and smoke to make it interesting. Our boat did not catch as many as some but we had a good crew and enjoyed ourselves. We had a good plan, just failed to execute the plan!!! But we do have meat in the fridge so I am happy.
See all of you Soon!!
