I've thought about it long and hard Mark, I may yet still lease one. I'm stumbling with leaving the boat 24/7/months in the salt air. Back in the 70's I kept a boat wet sliped at Southport marina (they did not have dry slips then and if they did the boat was too large). It was a maintenance nightmare. Do you have a slip cover? Does he have lifts on all the slips now or is he installing them as he leases the lift? BTW... seemed to a really nice fellow.

Out of the water it is fine Frank. My boat has lived on the lift 24/7 except to get service or to wax the hull sides for 3 years. As long as you keep on some UV vinyl protection and some Woody Wax every so often it will look and weather fine.

Just a little f.y.i., there use to be a restaurant above fish house (Etheridge) across from Broad Creek that was open for years. It has been closed the last several years, happy to say that they reopened a few weeks ago. Enjoyed a great lunch! It's worth a try!

When we filled up the other week I noticed they were open. They looked quite busy. I will have to give them a try!! Mark

Thanks for the tip on the restaurant. We stopped by last year and they were closed. Bummed out. It had been many years since Gary had been there and he said it was one of the best around.

The Admiral and myself just had lunch at the Fishermans Wharf Resturant in Wanchese. It is has been re-opened by the Daniels family(also former owners), therefore it will be closed Sundays and will not serve alcohol..Enjoyed the lunch with good portions and a nice selection of homemade deserts...Friday's lunch special is , fried chicken, mac & cheese, and collard greens. $5.99. You can bet I will be there for that!!!
Regards,
