We made a last second decision yesterday morning to take off work and try to catch a cobia since a few were seen and caught on Monday. We ran out the inlet around 11:00 and headed south. We ended up seeing about 5 cobia but we never got a good shot at any of them. Heck we ran over the top of a pair just outside the inlet on the way in.
Everyone one we saw were all on the small side but an 82 pounder was caught yesterday morning by the Fishing Fool charter. All in all it was a beautiful day on the water and the beer was nice and cold
. We did have a nice catch of spanish and bluefish on the spoons.
