I feel your pain, literally. That pain your feeling is from the fluid and or disk pressing again your sciatic nerve. I had surgery for my herniated disc L4-L5 back in Feb and I'm still not back to normal. I'm keeping my fingers crossed your disk has just a minor herniation, with luck the spine will reabsorb it.

STAY IN BED or at least Horizontal, you really need to keep your weight off your spine, if you don't........it will only get worse...........MUCH WORSE
