I spoke to the captain of that boat today. It really did happen in the inlet. I think the photo was taken once it moved to calmer waters. The captain explained to me that it took 24 hours to salvage it. I was curious on what happen, because I too own a 23ft boat and I have had some tense times while punching the inlet in the past. It was explained to me that is was some what calm when he left out , however it got crazy coming in. He told me a shoal was not marked and he struck it, then a massive wave crashed on his stern and then the bow took one. Water then began to go over the gunwhale causing the boat to flip. The captain and mate went over board, they were both plucked out by a passing vessel. He said, " It happened fast!" Oh ,yea it was a 23ft cuddy cabin , Sea Pro and NO FISH were caught. LUCKY, LUCKY !!! Maybe fuel cost will go down by the time he is back fishing??????
